UPSC Exam Date 2022

The UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) is conducted every year to recruit candidates to various civil services of the Indian central government such as IAS, IPS, IFS (Foreign), IRS, IP & TAFS, IFoS (Forest), ITS, etc. It is one of the toughest exams in the country.

The UPSC CSE is also popularly known as the IAS exam and is conducted subsequent to the release of the UPSC vacancy memo.

The UPSC exam is no shorter than a marathon I tell you. It has three rounds that you need to clear in order to be selected as an IAS officer. The first round that you’d have to clear is the Prelims, the second round is Mains, and finally, the third round is the personal interviews.

On 2nd February 2022, UPSC released the official notification for UPSC CSE 2022. It is a comprehensive notification, which carries the total vacancies, registration start-end dates, exam dates, the eligibility criteria, the exam pattern, and of course the link for the online application. 

The Preliminary exam will be conducted on 5th June 2022. Following this, the mains examination will take place, which is scheduled to commence on September 16, 2022.  

While the above information is final, UPSC made a slight change in another element of the examination. In a subsequent notification, UPSC intimated the augmentation in the total number of vacancies. A total of 150 vacancies are added to the IRMS head. The number of vacancies is now increased to 1011.
