Step-by-step Instructions on How to Draw a Chibi Cat. Chibi alludes to a “highly distorted” style of Japanese craftsmanship and vivacity in which a person’s proportions are altered for a mesmerizing effect. It should also be possible to show or emphasize certain feelings, similar to indignation or appreciation.

“Chibi” means “short or small.” Chibi characters look like babies (or cats in this case) because their heads are enormous: they make up 33% to half of the person’s body.

Cats are pretty standard in children’s anime series and manga. Probably the best known include Jiji from Kiki’s Conveyance Administration, Luna and Artemis from Mariner Moon, Molly from The Antiquated Magus Lady of the Hour, Meowth from Pokémon Chi from Chi’s Sweet Home, Nyanko-master from Natsume’s Book of Companions, and Arthur of Code Geass Korin from Winged Serpent Ball Z.

Step-by-step instructions on how to draw a chibi cat

Step 1

Start by outlining the sides of the kawaii cat’s face. Use a curved line for each side. Notice the small curved line added to the base of one of the more famous lines.

Step 2

Draw the cat’s neck. Extend a blurry line from each side of the face. The lines should consist of short, dull, and curved lines.

Step 3

Draw two U-shaped cover lines to form the front paws of the kawaii cat.

Step 4

Extend a long spiral line from the base of the neck to the side of the front leg, illustrating the back, hips, and rear leg.

Step 5

Draw a small U-shaped line on the opposite side of the front legs, enclosing the excess condition of the back foot.

Step 6

Develop a long curved bar from the hips and fold it back on itself to frame the feathered tail. Draw a succession of related curved lines that meet in sharp foci along the path near the top.

Step 7

Draw the cat’s ears. For per ear, use two curved streaks to have a three-sided shape. Then, at this point, connect the ears with a curved line depicting the highest point of the head—the detail in each ear with a three-sided shape. The bottom of the triangle should consist of a series of curved lines. The sides are also curved, with one corner not fully connected.

Step 8

Start detailing the cat’s face. Use a thick curved line to outline each eyebrow. Then draw the eyes, enclosing more modest circles in larger circles. Hide between the two younger ones and frame the students. Then cover a small, snug triangle on the edge of each eye.

Step 9

Complete the animation cat face. Draw an oval on each cheek, and a small snug triangle turned for the nose. Below, draw a “W” shape adapted to frame the mouth. Finally, the curved lines indicate the hair protruding from under the nose.

Step 10 – Vary your Chibi Cat design.

Diversify your charming chibi cat. Cats come in various varieties: dark, white, dark, orange, yellow, and tan, with built-in spots and stripes. In anime, creatures often bring magnificent and unnatural strains, so go ahead and be imaginative!
